Features
- Profiler© comes with a large database of
pre-configured questions, questionnaires, and evaluations. These can be used
without modification or can be customized to suit a company's particular needs.
New questionnaire or evaluation forms can be made quickly by simply adding
questions and criteria from the database into these new forms, or by creating
new criteria to be added to the database.
- Profiler© allows employees and applicants
to take the evaluation directly at the computer or on paper. When taken at the
computer, several multimedia events may be included with the question.
Pictures, audio, and video may be included to help stimulate a response that
text alone cannot.
- Time constraints may also be placed on the
questionnaire for jobs that require quick-reaction time and decisions, or the
ability to work under pressure. The time it takes the employee or applicant to
take the questionnaire may also be recorded. This is information that may be
valuable for screening for jobs that require work to be done with haste.
- Profiler© allows for the easy maintenance
of employee and applicant records. Employees and applicants can be added
automatically, when answering the questionnaire, or added manually. Functions
exist for removing applicants who are not hired, hiring those applicants who
are desirable additions, and updating the status of employees who are no longer
working. These are all data points important for considering applicants.
- Several different reporting mechanisms are
available. Reports can be generated to review a number of specific details
about both employees and applicants.
- Profiler© allows for multiple departments
within a company. It's easy to see that the evaluation criteria and questions
asked of someone applying for a secretarial position would be different than
someone applying for a job as a district sales manager! Employees and
applicants with different positions are kept separate. But it also allows for
easy transition of employees who are promoted to a new department.
- Profiler© includes extensive password
protection. Passwords exist at several different levels to insure that access
and changes to restricted data can be performed only by authorized people. This
protection allows evaluators to make confidential evaluations of employees,
while allowing employees and applicants to answer the questionnaire at the same
computer without fear of exposing confidential data. This allows employees,
applicants, and evaluators to perform their functions at their leisure, but
does not allow them to view or change other data.
- Profiler© is built on a Client/Server
architecture. This feature allows one machine in a centrally located area to be
installed as the primary test area. Yet, at the same time, "kiosk" stations can
be established outside of the office so that authorized employees and
applicants can engage without interference to office operations or when the
office is closed!
